North Richland Hills
Over the last six years, average attendance has grown 9% to just under 4,000 people. Most of this growth is families with kids or students. The kids space currently handles approximately 1,000 kids each weekend and is operating above its designed capacity. We also need to improve security over the kids space and renovate worn, aging areas to create a welcoming environment. In addition, the foundation under the south side of the building needs to be repaired.
We are renovating the south side of the campus to add kids classrooms and create a Kids Worship room. With more space for kids, we can reach more families. We will also fix the foundation and improve security for the kids area. This would allow for 5,000 people on a weekend with present worship times or up to 9,000 with additional services.
Southlake Campus has grown 16% since its inception to approximately 700 in average attendance with about 300 kids. The lobby is smaller than many living rooms and people walk through the worship center to get to the kids areas. Students are meeting in old houses detached from the main building, while the kids area is running at capacity and needs better security.
We are adding a much-needed lobby that, combined with the Worship Center, will become a versatile space for students to use on Wednesday nights. By renovating and expanding the kids area, with better access and improved security, we will increase capacity by approximately 40% and create space for as many as 1,400 people with the current schedule and up to 2,500 with expanded options.
West Fort Worth
Since moving into its current building, the West Fort Worth Campus has grown 19% to just under 600 in attendance, including around 200 kids. The kids area is running at capacity and needs improved security to better accommodate new young families.
The surrounding neighborhoods are growing rapidly; the Walsh Ranch development alone is expected to add over 15,000 homes for 50,000 people.
We have been given 9 acres just outside Loop 820, freeing us from our current lease and saving us $450,000 annually in rent, and allowing us to create more space for kids and students. This location is ideally positioned to take advantage of the immediate growth in the area. It could comfortably accommodate 1,000 people with the current schedule and up to 2,500 with new worship times.
